Wendy Jagger

Strongly influenced by the seasonal changes of rugged landscapes and the diversity of native flora, Mansfield artist Wendy Jagger’s paintings and ceramics embody her response to being in, within and of the land, particularly when she is in her emerssive state, plein-air painting.

Jagger’s work has been a finalist in numerous national and international art prizes, and is held in private and public collections, including Bendigo Art Gallery, Manningham Gallery, and Holmesglen TAFE. Commissioned pieces for clients include the National Gallery of Victoria, the Victorian State Parliament, Mazda Australia, the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, and Mt Buller RMB.

Jagger has more than 30 years’ experience in art education and she now shares her art practice and knowledge in her classes and workshops. She also opens her studio for the award-winning Mansfield Open Studio Trail, of which she is the founder.
